“ Food is always good at Texas! The service is outstanding and the ambiance is really cool. It's an older spot but I think that drives the charm of the place. Check out the rack of lamb! You will enjoy! ”
“ It is always a fun and amazing experience when dining there at TEXAS. From birthday celebrations (we've had many there from 10-40 people) to casual dining, we have only experienced a wonderful time, good food and excellent customer appreciation. The staff is great and of course, Shelby makes everything the Best! Feels like going home every time we dine there. The Hadaway's; Ray, Pat and family ”
“ More upbeat than a traditional steakhouse - like one on red bull and Texas-style all the way. Steaks were perfect and the calamari appetizer was a larger portion than I've had elsewhere. Servers have plenty of assistance so you never wait for anything you need. ”
“ First time at Texas - food was great: steak cooked perfectly and as good as I've ever had! Sides were great also. Wife had lamb chops: were also cooked perfectly and were outstanding. Server Luis was excellent: attentive, answered any and all questions and professional. Two ladies on the floor: Leslie and Shannon were great hosts! Welcomed us and very personable, informative and professional. Will definitely be back and will be our go to! ”
“ Stopped by for dinner service. The ambiance was definitely busy and lively. We were very well taken care of by staff (multiple waiters stopped by to check on us) We were sat on the service floor with a good view but I'm sure you can request the first if you don't want to climb stairs. They had a live musician at the time. Not sure if requested by a customer but our dinner service was paused with him playing the national anthem. Where everyone in the restaurant paused and stood up to pay respects. Not sure if this happens often but it did catch us a bit off guard. The food was great, but my husband did state his sides could've been a bit more seasoned or just a tad bit better. (He got the NY strip with sweet potato fries and corn) Overall a great place to try, not sure if we will be back soon based on food alone. ”
“ First thing I said when I heard that we're going to a restaurant called "Texas" I thought, "Uhh... well that's original." First thing I said when I stepped into the restaurant was, "Wow. This place has a lot of character!" Such a unique two-story saloon. Original indeed. We arrived at the restaurant around 6:45pm without reservations. I was surprised by how busy the place was for a Tuesday evening. Guests were lively and merry, which added to the quirky charm of the place. Overall service was great. Food came out in a timely manner, and we got a lot of attention and care from our server. My dinner at Texas was one of my favorite meals during my stay in Richardson. We ordered delicious appetizers of calamari covered in a sweet chili sauce, lightly battered onion rings, and shrimp cocktail. I ordered the Steak Oskar, which was divine. The filet was perfectly medium rare, and it was topped with a good amount of crab and lovely hollandaise. Similarly, my coworkers enjoyed their choices. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend this spot. ”
“ The food was delicious! The steaks were seasoned so well it was like they melted in our mouth! The Diablo topping my better half had gave me chills when I tried it! And I'm serious! The sides were amazing as well! The bread was soft and absolutely perfect! The sweet tea was actually sweet! The ambiance was great and being locals it fit perfectly! Our waiter Baton was very knowledgeable and professional and knew the menu very well! He never let us do without anything! ”
“ Met a group for dinner and was not disappointed. Salmon and Filet cook to perfection. I have to say the burnt corn was a disappointment, seemed like can corn with some red and green peppers that were not cooked. Also grilled veggies were not really grilled. Chopped salad yummy but sweet potato soup also a disappointment. I hate to take off a star for vegetables but if you are going to serve them cook them properly. Great waitress and staff, restaurant is very loud. ”
“ This is your typical traditional steakhouse. It's definitely popular judging by the number of patrons. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Dolan, was amazing! The food is pretty standard, nothing to brag about, however, I will say it is very reasonably priced! My husband and I shared the 22oz ribeye with two sides and I can recall it being less than $100. The Western atmosphere takes you back some decades and they do have live music which is a nice aesthetic. ”
“ Was looking forward to a nice fancy steak dinner. Accessibility- there are handicap parking spaces Restrooms- there are terry cloth towels to dry your hands. Service- our server was very good. Checked on us frequently. Food- Filet Mignon- incredibly seasoned well and tender. Just melts in your mouth Trout- again seasoned perfectly and very fresh Dinner for Two- Bone In Ribeye. It was market price of $99 includes 4 sides. Sweet potato fries was very good. Texas tators were just okay. Burnt corn was also just okay. Roasted vegetables- a little too much black pepper for my preference. Return Factor- only for special occasions because it is on the pricier side. ”
